The Management Team

James Bailey – Director

Responsible for the day to day running of the company, project management, technical design and quality management. James has worked in fibre and comms since leaving school, qualified as an electrician and has 30 years’ experience in the industry. He retains a number of key public sector clients and provides ongoing network development and support for their IT, CCTV and UTC comms requirements.

Damien Lee – Operations Director

Damien is responsible for custodial technical design and sales, project management, health and safety co-ordination, employee training and electrical supervision. Worked in fibre and comms since school, while qualifying as an electrician. With over 25 years in the industry, he recently developed and implemented a bespoke database management system, providing sales, operations, and accounting integration and support.

Darren Smith – Sales Director

Worked in fibre and comms since 1986, as engineer and subsequently as a manager. Prior to working at CIS, Darren was employed as a consultant for AECOM for six years. Responsible for Key account management, sales and marketing. He works in the networks and infrastructure sectors, wired and wireless, with major projects in the migration of circuits from leased line to private networks.

Matt West – Project Engineer

Based in Scotland, Matt is responsible for the monitoring and managing of major projects, this includes a major wireless (licensed and unlicensed) network in North Lanarkshire, supporting transmission across the county for circa 1000 cameras, migrating from leased lines. Matt has been with the company since its inception and has built up a wealth of site experience and knowledge of the projects and work areas.

Ryan Regan – PIA Manager

Ryan is the PIA Manager in charge of TRR teams working on PIA projects accross the UK, his duties include client liaison and management, works planning, site safety, Quality Assurance, and  fitted document management. He has a class 2 HGV license and is also a qualified Transport Manager, and served for 12 years with the British Army.

Gemma Nightingale – Civils Planner/Co-ordinator

Gemma is responsible for the co-ordination of all street works permits and licenses, civils works planning, document management, and customer and supplier liaiason, Gemma is also a qualified Transport Manager and a NRSWA Supervisor.

Luke Farrell – Civils Site Supervisor

Luke has been with Core-IS  since the inception of the civils department in 2019, and holds a class 2 HGV license is responsible for client liaison, site co-ordination, plant and machinery management, materials procurement and Quality Assurance.
